Think...? THUNK!!!!!

Dubai Police in collaboration with Dubai One the TV channel, are aggressively promoting the "speed kills" theory.
I say "theory", because there are all those speed demons out there, who sincerely believe that it is just that, up there with aliens, UFO's and that AIDS only happens to "homos".

The public service advertisements feature various hard hitting techniques. One has a kid on the road remembering how his mother died in a road accident and how he understands what happened.
But HOW he doesn't understand WHY she is not here with him anymore.

The other one shows a family suspended at various floor levels next to a building, and explains if you fell from the first floor, 5th floor etc it would be equivalent to you being hit in a crash at which speed level.

The universal tagline at the end asks us to "THINK".

I will tell you that these advertisements are very powerful indeed, after my accident a few months ago, it is true that ALHUMDOLILLAH even though no one was hurt , I have become more careful and drive slower. I am "thinking".

But here's what I THINK. I think that the people who put these adverts on the telly need to THINK.

They need to THINK before the hand out driving licenses like candy at Halloween, about whom they punish, as opposed the ones they can't touch.

If they have all the statistics about which types of car, which age group and which nationality is highest on the list of offenders, then it would seem pretty obvious who is chiefly at fault .

Yes we will THINK, but before us YOU need to think too. Before you allow all those BIG car companies to make more and more powerful cars. To import those cars into the country, and to allow them to sell these super duper faster than a speeding bullet cars.

I notice the words TORQUE and HORSEPOWER are so much more important than SAFETY features.

Maybe you should think about attaching GPS trackers on vehicles of repeat offenders.

Maybe you should have an age bar on issuing such powerful cars to hormone driven pubescent men.

YES, maybe it is You, who should THINK.
